City advice

Don't miss

Philbin Beach

This beach is open to residents and renters only. It is a breathtaking oceanside beach with beautiful views of the cliffs and a huge sandy area. Parking requires a permit, which can be obtained at the town office, and costs about $50/week. You'll need to show proof of rental.
Book before you go

Bringing your car

Room for cars on the ferry fills up quickly for the summer months. Steamship Authority is the only ferry company that offers car transportation, and booking for the summer opens around mid to late January. If you plan on bringing a car, which we recommend, you should also plan to book a spot on the ferry as soon as possible!
