Wine (and Beer) Trail

With countless options to choose from, selecting wineries can be difficult. You really can't go wrong with any Finger Lakes wineries, but here are some of our personal favorites!
Walking distance from the bungalow - Cayuga Ridge is another Elm Beach favorite! A beautifully rustic barn shop full wonderful Finger Lakes souvenirs and local snacks (cheese!). The wines at Cayuga Ridge are delicious as well - I recommend picking up a bottle of their Peach Essence for the perfect summertime treat.

A beautiful farm with lots of farm to table eats and NY ciders to try! Seasonal options to pick your own fruit (strawberries, blueberries, apples). Stop by for lunch and sample a flight of ciders from across the region!

Outdoor Activities

A NY State Park with the highest waterfall in the eastern US! This park boasts several trails with options for a leisurely stroll to the base of the waterfall or a more rigorous hike that takes you atop the gorge. Be sure the read the placards along each trail to learn about the rich history and science of the Finger Lakes region. There's also a large lawn with spots for lakeside picnics and a seasonal food truck on site!

Another "gorges" way to explore the Finger Lakes! We suggest hitting this spot off-season or early in the morning to avoid crowds. This NY State Park offers a meandering trail through the Watkin's Glen gorge at the base of Seneca Lake.

The Finger Lakes National Forest is a United States National Forest that encompasses 16,259 acres of Seneca and Schuyler counties, nestled between Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of the State of New York. We love exploring the countless trails and finding new running routes each time we visit. These trails are a great option to avoid crowds, since they're usually less popular than the ones with waterfalls at nearby State Parks. Cell service in this area is not great, so we recommend looking up the trails on a local map or the All Trails app before heading out!
