STI was formed to aid in the protection and recovery of the endangered Kemp's ridley sea turtle. This non profit organization is ran from 100% by admission, public donations, and gift shop sales. It is also a great educational trip. Go and support this local rescue mission.

Island Metro
SPI has a free shuttle that will take you to Port Isabel or up and down the Island. Visitor Center is located 321 Padre Blvd. Visit the website for the times and schedules myspi.org
