Ocean crest is just a few miles up the road from Seabrook and offers a fine dining option with an ocean view without breaking the bank account. Highly recommend the clam chowder. Call ahead to get a seat by the window for the best view.

A trip to Seabrook is never complete without a daily stop in the sweet shop. We love the throw back candy choices, ice cream and root beer floats.

This cute little wine bar will soon get an upgrade into their much larger permanent space. They have fantastic tasters, excellent selections and their charcuterie plate is filling enough for a meal for two! If you make a few visits per year out to Seabrook, we highly recommend their wine club.

Grocery

Cute, very well organized and stocked with organic items, specialty produce and all the things you need to eat in for the week during your vacation. About a 5 minute drive from Seabrook, but well worth the trip.

Adventures

Buck's is the place for anything rental to make your visit to the coast spectacular. He's got bikes, trail maps for the mt. biking trails, kites, boogie boards, skim boards, wetsuits, surf boards, pickle-ball sets etc. Buck's also hosts some excellent northwest tours/excursions. We have enjoyed the Ghost Forest Kayak tour as well as the Humptulips River tour. Buck and his team take care of the details so you and your group can show up and enjoy a paddle without all of the hassles of hauling boats.

This winery is a little bit of a trek from Seabrook (aprox 45 min) but worth the trip. The winery and distillery has a tasting room, excellent restaurant with indoor and outdoor eating space. Activities we love include the extra large scrabble tables and free disc golf course. There is also putt put. This is a beautiful spot and enough to do to keep the kids entertained while the adults do some tastings.

While you are visiting Westport Winery, drive down the road a bit further to Brady's Oysters to pick up some local seafood for a home cooked dinner. We recommend their chowder and picking out a couple of crabs are always a good choice. Support local.

Quinault is 45 minutes away, but a must do day trip. We recommend going for the day as you can fit in a short hike in the woods or along the lake line. On a nice day you can rent a kayak or paddle board or even swim in the lake. It's a beautiful drive and historic lodge.

City advice

What to pack

Mountain Bikes

Bucks does rent bikes, but if you have mountain bikes and are into that we highly recommend you bring them. Seabrook is home to several amazing mt bike trails and a mountain bike trail park put in by Evergreen Trail Alliance. The easiest trail is a little steep at places. Our kids started enjoying at about age 10.
What to pack

Walking/Running shoes

Our Seabrook trips are always "daily step goal" achievements. We love walking everywhere. The town is also very run-able with miles of oyster shell trails meandering through the neighborhoods. You can easily get 3 miles in without leaving Seabrook.
