Arts & Culture

Union Station - downtown Tacoma. Beautiful old train station with wonderful glass art inside - don't forget to walk the Bridge of Glass behind the station. Architecture: Tacoma Union Station is a magnificent example of Beaux-Arts architecture that combines awe-inspiring elegance with spatial efficiency. The architects Reed and Stem were already well known in the field of railroad station design, particularly for their organization of space and movement.

This place is for women only and is so relaxing, soothing, warm and inviting. But it may not be for everybody because the pool area does not require bathing suits and no one wears them. There are 4 soaking pools including a very cold pool with a waterfall, showers, as well as a steam and dry sauna. You are given a robe and towels to use in the other areas (4 rooms to relax in with canvas over sand, or salt and at different temperatures). A Day Pass gives you access to the all areas for as long as you like. Other services to purchase include massages and Korean scrubs (add a body moisture) that remove the top layer of your skin - speak up if it's too rough, and a tea room and restaurant.
