Some of the best wild swimming on the Dart is accessible by parking at Newbridge. Follow an easy path downstream for glorious Spitchwick (where you may find crowds on a sunny summer’s day). Head upstream, via a longer but very beautiful woodland hike, for the quiet beauty of Mel Pool and Sharrah Pool. 20mins drive.
