This place is in Vail Ranch. Really cute locals’ spot. Vail Ranch is Kid friendly. I like to get a glass of wine while the kids paint pottery or do crafts next door.

This cute place isn’t huge but by feeding one blade of straw at a time we can spend twenty minutes with just the goats!! And in a stroke of wisdom the owners also have a chocolate shop. They sell local eggs and honey too so if you need eggs this is a nice way to not have to go to the market. Lastly with an “only in Temecula” vibe there is a great tasting room on property where the legal drinking age members of the family can sit and rest while the littles enjoy the Zonkey and other animals. My personal favorite is the snoring pig.

Somehow you’d have to come back for your creation after they fire it. But it’s fun here and you can buy studio time and a hunk of clay and get to hand forming. Or schedule to use the wheel.

Great candy. Farm gifts for kids like little horses. Farm theme calendars and housewares. Great wild bird feeders and birdseed and also chicks are in season so if you need anything this is sort of a farm style Home Depot

This is a welcoming large open studio with vaulted ceilings and lots of space to make crafts (from paint to fiber arts)! They even have a mobile paint party service. My favorite workshop is “create your own chunky blanket” which you do within 3 hours. Located in Vail Ranch which has evolved into a historical outpost with crafts and kids train ride as well as a few antiques.

Swim up bar. Also when you are almost to Harrahs and right after the Rincon Fire station keep an eye out so you can pull over and shop at Mazetti’s Gift Shop. Such beautiful things. Stop before you go because it’s on the right side and downhill and easy to pull in. It’s really hard to pull in to the left across traffic when you’re heading uphill.
