My favorite hiking trails

The trails are hilly wooded ancient sand dunes. There are two beautiful destination spots, a lookout, with a view of Lake Michigan; and the dunes leading to Cathead Bay, and the pristine beach.

What makes this a unique course is that it is the first solar powered golf course in the country. It is a 9 hole course with pretty flowing greens.

We live this for amazing rocks on the beach. This is directly west of the house towards the lake. Turn left at the bottom of the driveway to the curve in the road. Turn right into the park.

City advice

What to pack

Bring sun screen, bug repellant and a handy tick remover.

Northern Michigan is a beautiful place to explore but it’s always easier to come prepared and to be educated on poison ivy and ticks.
