Fearless Freddy currently has an Italian Chef from Sydney, who does great authentic pastas and pizzas. The dining experience isn’t amazing, it is basic, but we certainly enjoy the food. Maybe a better takeaway option to eat back at Beach Haven, which we typically do.

Our family enjoys a meal here, as it is also a great place for the kids to jump on the jumping pillow or visit the games room (basic). The meals have generally been good here. On a recent stay, the eye fillet was exceptional! If riding, a great place to hop off the bikes and enjoy a meal and refreshment, as it is at the bottom of the town link trail.

It has been a while since we have had a meal at White Sands, however they have generally excellent. It is a great place to visit for a wine, or to sample their Iron House brewery brew. For littles, there is a fun little indoor playroom that can entertain them whilst the parents sit back and relax. It is around 10 minutes from the house.

One of our favourite places to go at any time of the year. Only a short stroll from the property, in summer, it is a magical and safe place to swim and in winter, a special place to watch the waves roll in and to enjoy a sunrise to sunset.

We are an adventure family, so this pace is very special to us. Barely 10 minutes from our property, there is fun to be had for the learner riders on the trail head, or for the more experienced, catch a shuttle to Loila Tier. For any questions regarding the trails, please get in touch. We are happy to give advice.

There are numerous surf spots around our property and can be great depending on the conditions. Nic is an avid surfer, so can give advice on where to go depending on the forecast. You have a few options nearby: - Scamander River - Shelly Point - Dark Hollow - Four Mile Creek

Arguably the most spectacular locations in Tasmania, Coles Bay is simply amazing. Whether it is a walk to the lookout or down to the Wineglass Beach, it is sure to be a memorable experience. The Freycinet lodge is a magnificent place to visit for food or a refreshment overlooking the water.

We recently visited the Serpentarium with our children and it was superb. Make sure you visit between 12.00 - 1.00pm to see the snake show, which gives people opportunities to handle the snakes (definitely wasn’t my scene!). It is small with only a small number of reptiles, but the experience for our children was well worth it and we were there for over an hour. A great rainy day activity. In St Helens.
