Athlone is a lovely town and well worth a visit. Shopping, food, walks by the River Shannon all nestled neatly together. An old medieval town with a castle 🏰 too!

Food scene

Just some of my favourite places. Though there are many others to choose from!
Another spot for food and drink that won’t break the bank. It’s dog friendly and has the best Guinness in the town. Food is fair and always improving. Staff are super friendly and refurbishments are constantly ongoing to provide a lovely rustic country yet contemporary feeling on your visit.
