At Amici Miei you get a lovely atmosphere and fantastic Italian food. This is one of our local favorites in Bergen when going for Italian, but note that this place do not serve Pizza. If you in for authentic Italian Pizza you go to "Bien Centro"! This place is more like a fine dining Italian and the service, surroundings and food is amazing. The restaurant is located in the middle of centrum.

Ways to save

Use the kitchen in your Airbnb

We all know that prices in Norway can be crazy high and eating out everyday will take a lot from your traveling budget. By taking advantage of having a kitchen in your Airbnb you can get the most out of your travel. We recommend shopping at the closest supermarket of Rema 1000, Kiwi or Coop which is good options for grocery shopping. Prepare lovely meals at home and enjoy to the fullest when eating out in the city.
Getting around

City train and bus

Traveling around is Bergen is pretty simple when you first get to know the different options. The city train (Bybane) and bus are really convenient for moving in and out of the city centrum. We recommend downloading the "Skyss reise" app which will help you find the the best option, tell you where to go and which "Bybane" or bus you should hop on. You can buy tickets with the "Skyss billett" app.

El scooters and city bikes

For shorter distances we love to use the el scooters and city bikes. This is super convenient and also a lot of fun. There are a lot of options and different brands for el scooters but we will just give the two best to make it simple for you. Voi: Downlaod the "Voi" app to travel with the red scooters seen around. Bolt: Bolt have both el scooters and el bikes. Donlowad the "Bolt" app to use the green scooters. Bergen city bikes: "Bysykkel" is really nice for sightseeing or getting around in the city. There are plenty of stations in and around the centrum where you can pick up a bike.

How to park your car

If you have a private parking spot you are good to go. If you are parking in a car park you are mostly good to go, just remember to pay for the parking. Instructions are found on a sign in most car parks. Also a lot of car parks in Bergen are taking payment though the "EasyPark" app. If you are parking in the street you got to watch one's step. Most areas close to the city centrum requires payment although its not a sign in the street. In the "P i Bergen" you can see where it's free to park and not and pay for the street parking.

The brand new light rail routes

On 20/11/22, the light rail got some completely new routes, and now takes you to Fyllingsdalen. Previously, it only went from Flesland Airport to Byparken in the city centre. Now you can also choose to take it to Fyllingsdalen and Haukeland hospitals. Check more in the "Skyss reise" app and buy your ticket in the "Skyss billett" app.

Bergen card - Experience Bergen in a practical and affordabl

We recommend almost all our guests to buy the Bergen Card. With this card you can take buses and light rail for free throughout "Hordaland". This means that you can get to both Voss and Odda completely free! HOW: Order the Bergen Card at visitbergen website, you will receive a link to your digital Bergen card. You open it on your mobile phone or tablet. To activate the card, tap the Activate field and confirm. The card is then active and you can start using it. The card will count down. Discounts on parking, restaurants, activities, attractions and lots more!
