The best poboy's in Acadiana! My personal favorite is the Surf and Turf 2.0. Pro Tip you can get any of the poboy's as a salad! (For any gluten sensative guests.) If you are a fan of heat - get the HOT HOT :-)

This is a local tapas bar. Amazing cocktail selection, probably the best actually. My favorite is called "The Last Word". The tapas food is fantastic and great for a couple or group up to six people. You may need to call for reservation, just depends on the day.

Festival Acadiens et Creoles is a wonderful festival that features local cajun and zydeco music. There is arts and crafts, food, and dancing! By the end of the weekend the grass has been pounded to dirt and everyone's spirits are lifted. Great fun for all ages.

Concert Venues

This is a huge domed building located in the middle of Lafayette. It is a popular venue for concerts and sporting events. Some artists whom I have personally seen are Aerosmith, Hank Williams Jr., and Kidd Rock. I have also seen Monster Trucks and Disney on ice so the entertainment spectrum is broad.

Though they always feature ever revolving art on display. This is probably the coolest concert venue in my opinion. It is smaller and more intimate. I have seen Lake Street Dive twice here, The Lone Bellows, and Johnny Lang. Have cocktail, beer, or wine and enjoy the show. Tickets for events are purchased in advance, so visit https://acadianacenterforthearts.org/ for more info.

During the holidays enjoy Christmas events amongst the Christmas trees. It is magical. This is the largest stage which hosts the biggest acts for Festival International de Louisiane. I have great memories of Saturday night of festival. The lights are flashing with music filling the air and the energy is electric. Around the parameter of the Parc are food vendors and delicious smells drift through the air. The artists vary every year, but if you ever get the opportunity to see Balkin Beat Box or local favorites such as Marc Broussard, The Givers, DO IT. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
