Low Gap Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. While it may look like a dive that offers southern comfort food, don't be fooled! The chef/owner is from New York and serves fantastic food! This is about 30 minutes from Heather Hill Cabins. Highly recommend!

We frequent this place often. It is the closest restaurant to the cabins and is just what it says.....a bar! Also, located right next to the Dollar General and liquor152919986 - store. As you know, the cabins are located in a dry county.

Diasy Queen is not a Dairly Queen, although I hear they have good ice cream. Located across from JJ's Bar and Grill, this is one of the closest restaurants to the cabins. We love there chicken fried steak, selection of pies, and burgers.

We love this place in Harrison! About a 20 minutes drive from the cabins. We enjoy their coffee, especially the Prairie Fire, and their French Press coffee. Dinner is not served every day, usually on just Friday nights. Check their website to be certain. They also have kombucha.

This is yet another great hike for families. At the top, there is a plane wreckage that you can see. Dogs are allowed and the hike is suitable for children. From the top you can see the town of Jasper (in the winter).

Pruitt's Landing is the closest to the cabins, approximately 2 miles away. Here you will find a place to launch your canoes and a swimming hole. Be prepared to be in awe of the Buffalo National River!

We love to hike at Lost Valley! Suitable for children, it's a great place to hike. No pets are allowed as it is in the National Park. A must see, as there is a cave (Eden Falls) at the end of the hike.

This is a must do hike about 30 minutes from the cabins. This picture is what you see in the tourist magazines. Absolutely breathtaking at all times of the year. If you're visiting in October, people say it's like a patchwork quilt with all the fall colors.
