If Sacramento knows how to do one thing, it's brunch. There are so many places you could go but this iconic spot has always been my favorite. The Madame Cristo is orgasmic. Everything Else

You could park in the parking garage and spend the whole day checking out the cool shops, eating some good food, walking along the water, biking on the trail, having drinks and taking in the history. There is actually a historic tour that will take you underground, it's really neat. Fanny Ann's Saloon is a great watering hole in an old building. Laugh's Unlimited is a fun comedy club that usually has deals on Groupon. The California State Railroad Museum is very interesting. Evangeline's is an eclectic toy and gift shop, as well as a costume shop during Halloween. The Hornblower does River Tours and Murder Mystery dinners. So much to do in this small area!
