One of our favorite local spots for great pizza. Nothing fancy but definitely a local favorite. I love the Riveter...meatballs and banana peppers. Delish!

Not many locals would say this isn't the best in the city. The White Chocolate Mocha is my personal favorite, but even my son, who is a barista, says the true coffee connoisseurs consider this some of the best in the country. We have several friends who had to move out of town and ship it to their homes across the country.

Some of the best Cuban food and such a fun atmosphere. If weather allows, sit on the back patio and enjoy the live music!

Basically a landmark, this high end restaurant is an old school neighborhood fine dining gift to all your senses. Our Derby guests have to get a reservation a year in advance. It is just so special . Oysters on grits. Need I say more?

This treasure is an Olmstead park (also the creator of Central Park in NYC). We have several beautiful parks but this is definitely my favorite! Bring an ENO and a blanket and a book and pick up some picnic fare from Lotsa Pasta or Blue Dog Bakery. You won’t regret it!

Ok there are many distilleries to tour, as you are now in the land of bourbon…and thus one is a drive, but it’s beautiful and historic. I am not even a bourbon drinker, but I loved this one and their bourbons.
