The neighborhood

Chapinero is a commercial, residential, cultural and gastronomic hub. Without much walking you can find everything you need, from good restaurants of all kinds of tastes and price ranges, to apparel, shoes and electronics. The name Chapinero comes from chapín, a word used around 1800 to describe a certain kind of women's shoe with wooden soil, very popular around this zone. At only 30 minutes to the airport by car!

A hidden gem (we just recently found it). The Trdelník is a Czech roll dough sweet topped with everything you can imagine. It's very popular in Prague, and we were amazed to find it here in Bogotá.
