My personal favorite in Denver for more than 20 years. The dishes are a flavorful journey, and seating in the back garden is a must on your reservation request when weather permits.

Housed in a former mortuary, the decor layers macabre remnants with posh details in a window-flanked space overlooking the charming Lower Highland neighborhood. The drink menu features sips and seasonings as savory as the dishes with which they’re paired. While the rooftop patio—outfitted with 1975 GMC RV as bar and repurposed food truck as kitchen— beckons patrons towards adventure.

Root Down’s fresh-from-the-earth menu and funky, mid-century details have earned it a cult following. Not just a restaurant, Root Down is a neighborhood nexus and sensory rabble-rouser ... served with a spoonful of nostalgia. Think: seasonal flavor, bright-AF cocktails, gas station architecture, and offbeat ebay finds. Word! Eclectic is an understatement. But so is this: It’s sure to whet your appetite.

Nestled high above LoHi on the fifth floor of 2930 Umatilla, El Five boasts spectacular, unobstructed views of the downtown Denver skyline. The menu is an homage to the Mediterranean and features small plates built on bold flavors found throughout the region: Spain, North Africa, the Middle East. Inside, the space is understated and sensual, flanked by a large, open-air patio for sun-kissed Colorado nights. As the newest restaurant in the Edible Beats family, El Five celebrates the confluence of flavors, ideas and geographies made possible by a subtle shift in perspective.

Denver has several of these types of little blocks nestled in a neighborhood. Sushi Den has been a perennial favorite, and 5 Green Boxes is a wonderful gift shop. If you enjoy women’s consignment clothing, Common Threads is a good one.

Very much like Pearl St., shops and restaurants. Top 2 picks for restaurants are Perdida (coastal Mexican, great outdoor patio complete with a VW Van you can dine in, fire pit and vacation vibe.) Devil’s Food Bakery and Cookery are great too! The Bakery is a couple of doors down from the Cookery. The Bakery is a coffee shop, and the restaurant is a restaurant serving breakfast & lunch. Washington Park is blocks away from this area. Washington Park is the most popular park in Denver.

Sharks, Mermaid shows, spitting fish...kids will love it! It's owned by Landry's seafood, so of course there is a restaurant too. Not sure why this lists as a restaurant-it is an aquarium first and foremost.
