Honestly the pictures don't do it justice. This is a great place for snorkeling in calm waters, and you get a nice view of the Castle in Viejo San Juan from there.

Check out this cool spot with live music and food trucks with diverse food. It is also near walmart shopping center and Marshalls if you need to stop by. Don't forget to try Puerto Rico's local beer, "Medalla". It's delicious especially on a really hot day.

This is a mixture of restaurants and shopping malls with a cool zip line in the middle of the building and big screens all over playing some of the best hits while you chill and mingle. If you have T-mobile, download their t-mobile Tuesdays for sweet discounts.

This is Americas biggest rainforest, with lost of beautiful views and native plants and cascades. If you get tired easily then this might be a challenge for you, so it's important that you go with people that go at your same pace. Take plenty of water, good running shoes, sun block, snacks, your camara. If you don't want to worry about where to go exactly then I recommend you look into their tours. If you're on a budget and want to wonder off on your own then ask on facebook and whatsapp groups for anyone willing to car pool. I will share a couchsurfing group plus a traveler's chat with you. Ask me about it if I forget.

I recommend you go to Viejo San Juan probably the same day you choose to visit La Perla since they're so close to each other. Perfect for souvenir shopping. You could probably even manage to walk there from Escambron Marine Park if you're down to explore along the way. This place is filled with beautiful buildings, music, good food, the cruise-ship station is also nearby and some people like to see the ships settle.

La Perla is a good choice during the day or at night. This is where Luis Fonsi and other artists have recorded music videos. Sometime the pool is filled with water so take your bathing suit. Must visit!

I suggest visiting Ponce towards the end of your trip. It's almost like an abandoned town with beautiful buildings and live concerts at the heart of it. You still get a view of the beach from a distance. But definitely make sure you get all the other places like Culebra Island, Vieques, Old San Juan, El Yunque, La Perla marked off your list first.

Also recommend getting a tour and if at all possible one that gives you time to walk around and go for a swim. Same for Culebra Island. Look into tickets for the ferry and compare prices and it help you figure what's best for you depending on the time you have available and your budget.
