Great walk in the rainforest even if you already visited El Yunque (or if you couldn't get tickets). Walk 15 minutes through the rainforest and reach a river bed that is shallow but also has an area to swim in that's deeper. Recommend water shoes or sandals.

The Wyndham Resort has a fabulous hotel beach. The secret to accessing it is to drive up and tell the the guard at the gate that you are coming to the restaurant or for the golf shop etc. Then drive all the way down and turn left. You have the option of parking in the garage (if you are going to dinner for example) or you can continue on and park for free on the lawn all the way at the end of the road. The beach is across the lane. Walk left to take a scenic walk on the beach (mostly deserted) or walk right towards the hotel and enjoy a drink at one of their two beach bars.

City advice

Book before you go

Everything needs to be booked beforehand.

Many adventures book out, please try to book early
Travelling with kids

we have a travel crib and a toddler bed (blow up)

Please bring a stroller and a high chair. Locals love children, they are typically very friendly to tourists who are traveling with kids.
Getting around

we strongly recommend renting a car

there's so much to see in our area alone!
