Great food, lovely enviroment and cozy, great service. You can walk to the restaurant from the house. Turn right when you come out of the yard, Sannys is at the corner of the other street.

This is a quaint little Village that sits at the bottom of Xunantunich Mayan Ruin and across the river. Many of the villegers go to the river to soak and relax. The River has lots of rapids.

This is about an hour and a half drive from San Ignacio. beautiful place to visit and spend a day. There are lots of other things to do in the Mountain Pine Ridge area. Like Hidden Valley falls, cave tubing, picnic.

Amazing place. The water is cold year round. You can just relaxing in the water or go on a hiking tour. You can do different routes. you get to see the inland blue hole and a cave at the same time. Note: this is different that the Great Blue hole in Belize.

People of Belize

Belizeans are generally friendly people. Courteous and nice. English is the main language but half the population speak Spanish. Most of the population speaks creole which is broken English.

Getting around

airport transport

If you would like a ride to the airport check with Belizing dot com they offer shuttle service for groups or individual rates. It stops at Hodes Place which is less than 5 minutes drive to the house . Also they can drop you off at the house.
Ways to save

Picnic and Cool off Bullet Tree River

Best place to cool off and relax is the riverside near Mahogany Hall in Bullet Tree Village. it is shallow In most areas but be cautious because there are under water currents. Swim at your own risk diving not recommended.
