Bridport is probably the most bohemian town in the South West and well worth a visit. Lots of interesting nooks and crannies with a great antique street market and lots of buskers and artisan shops and cafes.

Possibly the loveliest place to eat nearby. Run by fellow Branscombe villager; Hazel the food is all locally sourced and beautifully prepared. A real highlights. Great for breakfasts and lunches and Hazel and the team often run one-off evening events with live music in the most stunning of settings right in the beach.

This is 5 mins by car from The house. Acting groups often come and do performances in the caves. This is not to be missed as the atmosphere in the caves is very eerie but totally unforgettable. Beer Quarry Caves are a great way to spend a couple of hours and the tour guides are very knowledgeable.
