Food Scene

Robinson Restaurant is seated on the gentle waves of lake of Varosliget. Floating on the surface of the water together with the ducks it offers a unique experience that no other restaurant does in Budapest. As if dining in a stylish building perched on top of the pristine waters of the lake wasn't enough of an experience in itself, the service is second to none and the cuisine is among the best in Budapest. I recommend you visit Robinson Restaurant after sunset to indulge both your taste buds and your eyes. At night, the restaurant is beautifull lit with a prime view over the lake and the several fountains belching water to a hypnotizing rhythm under the starry sky. Why don't you give it a try? You deserve this.

Parks & Nature

The City Park houses many of the city center's most popular sites such as the Zoo, the Outdoor Ice Rink, the Heroes' Square, the Museum of Fine Arts, Széchenyi Spa and the Circus. The Park itself is a launching pad for light excursions into a green sanctuary of tranquility and calm with none of the hustle and bustle of the surrounding urban areas. With a beautiful lake at its center, it's the perfect spot for a romantic boat ride during the summer or an ice skating adventure with your significant other during the winter. The lake surrounds a medieval castle that is a true site to behold in and of itself. Right in front of the majestic castle towers, there is a midieval church that gives an air of air of sanctity and awe to the castle yard.

Ever since its establishment at the end of the 19th century, Műcsarnok has been the centre of contemporary Hungarian fine art, and a key institution in canon-formation. It is a national institution with the mission of exhibiting the most significant trends of both contemporary Hungarian and international fine art in Budapest. The art centre at Heroes’ Square in Budapest is open to the whole spectrum of Hungarian visual culture. It operates strictly according to the principle of aesthetic value, without any constraint of ideology or age. Besides organising exhibitions, programs involving other art forms, and academic conferences, Kunsthalle’s publishing activity is significant as well.

Heroes' Square is awe-inspiring monument that attempts to capture Hungary's glorious history in the form of countless breath-takingly realistic statue complex. All of the statues represent an iconic Hungarian leader of the past, whether it be from ancient tribal times, or modern political leaders. In the middle of the square you'll find the famous "Tomb of the Unknown Solider" that is interestingly not a real tomb but a symbolic resting place of all the heroes of Hungarian history who gave their life for the freedom and national independence of the country.
