I really like the area around Blå, Den lille ostebutikken, Trattoria Populare and Süd Øst. A hidden secret is St. Paulis Biergarten and Hønse Lovisas Hus next to Akerselva.
A walk down Akerselva all the way from Nydale. (Take the bus up) and down to city centre is recommended.
