Market
One of the two main markets in Montreal. You will find a variety of local farmer stands and specialized shops. In the summer, the market is filled with plant stands. Go for your grocery shopping or simply to wonder around, drink a coffee, people watch… it’s one of my favourite place in the city.
The juice bar in the middle does great ginger shots!
Fromagerie Hamel is a great place to find local cheeses.
La boîte aux huitre has a pop up oyster bar.

Thai street food, dine in the cute little restaurant or take away and come eat in the yard! This place has hands down some of the best curis, pad thai, merch (omg they do cool merch), staff… it’s an amazing hip spot! They also have Pichai (I also entered it in my guide!).

Ok, we all know Indian restaurants, with long extensive menus filled with the classics. This is not one of them. There’s about 10 items on the menu. They serve authentic Indian street food, probably stuff you’ve never tried before. They have a terrace, great decor, beers and a few cool Indian flavoured cocktails! Also, 5 minutes away from your home :)

Not close, you gotta go across town for it but it’s a cool place. They often have Djs. Lots of good restaurants around there too (Gia and Elena would be my favourite, about 5 min aways from Loïc).

Really cool buvette. If you like wine you must go. It’s in the MileEnd neighbourhood. It’s the second spot the famous La buvette chez Simone opens.

Tinc Set and restaurant Alma are side by side and owned by the same couple. The woman has a wine import agency, she is the nicest person. Her name is Lindsay. Both her spots are great. On a calm street in Outremont, you feel like you’re on your friends terrasse.

I have been to this place about 2 million times. It’s a great bar with good food. They have nice oyster platters, well shucked (I’m picky). Good drinks and good wine. There’s something that makes you wanna get wild in this place… not sure what it is… but it works :)

Drink on sight or grab a bottle for home. New “cave à vin” from 2 guys in the wine import world. They are doing things right.
