Tours tell visitors how the family lived and worked on the farm in the year 1900. The barns and out buildings, with displays of tools and farm equipment, and animals representative of the period, give a glimpse into life and work on a family farm. The grounds include period flower and herb gardens, a farm garden, cropland, meadows and woods. The house is a charming museum featuring quilts and weaving; one can imagine that the family just stepped out for a few minutes, leaving everything in use as we might today. Open May through October.

The Westwoods trail system is the largest recreational area for hiking in Guilford. Westwoods contains 39 miles of trails on 1,200 acres. It contains a wide diversity of fascinating natural formations such as cave structures, water falls, salt and fresh water marshes, inland tidal lake, carved rock sculptures and rock formations.
