We are a small vineyard and winery, situated about an hour west of Ottawa-Gatineau in scenic West Quebec. We live on the site of a historical fruit farm from the 40's, where today heritage blackberries and grapes still grow. After visiting some Quebec & Ontario Wineries years ago, we were intrigued by the variety and quality of products available, and dreamed of growing this farm into something special and unique. We've added raspberries and table grapes fresh for picking, and over 5600 grapevines which we now turn into wine each autumn. Family oriented, our winery has a space to showcase art, to entertain, and also to allow us the privilege of featuring a plethora of other local product and goods. If you are inspired by nature, love meeting new people, love rural life, enjoy sourcing amazingly delicious local products and wine (of course), Little Red Wagon Winery is the place for you!

Our family first arrived in the township of Bristol, then a frontier of agricultural settlement, in the 1840s. Since that time, we have been active in the community as farmers, teachers, and entrepreneurs. In 2003, we saw an opportunity in a new industry that would combine all of our talents: agritourism built around Western Quebec’s first cidery, based at the historic Coronation Hall. Coronation Hall was built in the early 1930s as the MacDougall Dance Hall, but renamed for the coronation of George VI in 1937. We rescued this iconic building in 2003, and in 2008 opened the first commercial cidery in the region.

First, the Ottawa River is the best rafting river in Canada! It offers a “2 for 1”; it splits into two main channels and each one runs alongside each other and offers very high quality rapids. When the water is high, we take the “Middle” section as it offers more rapids. When the water goes down, we take the “Main” one because it becomes the most interesting Rafting option. Did you know that we are envied around the world to be able to raft on the Ottawa River? This river is known for its warm water! Join us in mid-June and you will already feel the magic of being in the water in complete comfort … and this from mid-June to mid-September. If you come to see the river in April or May, we will lend you free wetsuits to keep you warm. Our company and our activities are accredited by the AEQ (Aventure Écotourisme Québec), a professional association in the adventure tourism sector. This association demands rigorous criteria for the inclusion of its members. We are proud to be members of the AEQ. Click on the logo to learn more about this association.

The Marchand covered bridge, the longest covered bridge in Quebec, was built in 1898 by Augustus Brown of Beachburg. The 153-metre structure replaced two older bridges spanning the Coulonge River and linking the lumber camp on one shore to the village of Fort Coulonge on the other. Built entirely of pine and held up by six wooden pillars, the one-way bridge was covered so that it wouldn’t rot. The bridge adds charm to the picturesque Coulonge River.
