Local restaurant serving Syrian and Middle Eastern food. Very good and good price. No alcohol fyi Time out: “This Shepherds Bush restaurant specialises in the cuisine of Damascus, though dishes from across the Middle East - and in some cases, beyond - also feature. So plenty of variety, then. It's twinned with the Syrian supermarket right next door. Dishes range from mezze staples such as tabbouleh, fattoush, houmous, falafel and lamb sambousek to chicken shawarma, lamb tagine, kibbeh labneh and various biryani. A house special of makmour - steamed lamb thigh with vegetables - looks appealing. Desserts include baklawa, om ali, knafeh and mouhalabieh - a traditional Lebanese milk rice pudding.”

The river Thames

You can get down to the river on foot takes prob 30 mins (I usually cycle!). Down by the river you can walk on either direction and both sides. Either towards Putney and central London or towards Barnes. Stop along the way at one of the many pubs ! A great activity on a sunny day
