Town Centre

Whitstable isn’t short of amazing places to eat in the town. Booking is usually a must for weekends. Favourites include : Harbour Street Tapas, Birdies (french style Bistro) , Samphire , Wheelers Oyster Bar, The Forge Shack on the sea front does amazing fish and chips, plus crab and oysters, and they serve alcohol. The Half Croatian for charcuterie and cheese boards. Rulus deli for tasty lunches. Plenty of pizzerias e.g. Castellum, Sale and Pepe, and chain restaurants. Take out pizza - Nomad. Farm and Harper for brunch, and Grain and Hearth for all your sourdough needs!

Some great clothes and gift shops, plus a super cheese shop, and plenty of places to buy ice cream.

A proper food experience. Incredible food served with just the right amount of pomp and ceremony! Interesting flavours, exquisitely presented. Great staff in a laid back pub setting by the beautiful River Stour. Highly recommend for a very special meal.
