The best vegan icecream shop. The icecream is based on coconut and is great if you are vegan or lactose intolerant and equally if you are not ;-) 1 scoop for 10dkk every tuesday!

The owner has a PhD in icecream, who else does that? Very interesting flavors, icecream made with love AND science, a local favourite.

Expensive chocolate shop, go there for the icecream on wednesdays, where you can grab 2 scoops for 25dkk! My favorites are the lemon pie (lemon sherbet with pie crust and merengue) and bloodorange sherbet with dark chocolate pieces.

The place got new owners a while ago, young men who grew up in the neighborhood themselves. They are producing pizzaslices with a nice oily sourdough at reasonable prices.

City advice

Getting around

Walk to the city centre

You can walk to the city centre through wonderful parks and cemetaries in just 35 minutes. Take a look at google maps and notice how a walk through ‘Holmens Kirkegård’, Østre Anlæg’ and ‘Kongens Have’ takes you straight to the old city centre in just 35-40 minutes.

Walk to the city centre 2

Another fantastic route downtown is a 45 minute walk through the local, quiet neighborhood down to the little mermaid. From here you can walk along the water all the way to Nyhavn and take a look at Amalienborg (the Queen’s Palace) on your way. It might take you way longer than 45 minutes since there is so much to look at along the way. If you are lucky you might see the Crown Prince or Crown Princess out for a run on your way.
Getting around

Metro

Trianglen Metro Station is a 5 minute walk away along the cozy ‘Nordre Frihavnsgade’. It quickly takes you around town and to the airport.
Getting around

Train

Østerport St. and Nordhavn St. are the two train stations closest to us an within walking distance (10-15 minutes) If you want to go up north along the coast to visit for example Louisiana Art Museum or Kronborg castle you can take the train (please check the exact plan yourself).
