Whitby is a lovely traditional seaside town famous for many things including where Captain Cook set off in his ship Endeavour when he 'found' Australia, there is a replica ship the Bark Endeavour that is moored in the harbour as a visitor attraction. There are many great Fish and Chip restaurants and take-aways.
