Places to eat

This is our favorite restaurant in town. It's also a stones throw from the house. Highly recommend making a reservation online, but you can usually walk in for happy hour!

We love to go here to celebrate any special occasions. It's our go to birthday spot and is always good for a fancy night out. We love the rock shrimp and their Amaro selection. Reservation recommended!

Great counter service spot. The line can be long and we like to call in take out. Hot tip: Although unassuming, their bar has some of the best drinks in town.

Coffee

Our best pal owns this spot and we think it's pretty great. For a tiny coffee cart they have a pretty big menu. They also sell Aubrey’s pottery here!

Sneaky coffee shop in the back of Between The Covers bookstore. It's easy to miss but worth a stop. Really sweet back deck hidden away off Main st.

One of the best hikes in the area. This trail ends at a gorgeous water fall and the trail head is right in town.

This is a more challenging hike but the uphill battle pays off at the top. Incredible views of the ski resort and box canyon throughout. This trail also starts right in town.

Hot tips

The warehouse is a total local spot. They often have live music and cool events going on. We're getting married here and it's definitely the center of this community. You can find their even calendar online and most shows are free. Open air warehouse with really sweet views.

If you love live music, check out the Sheridan Opera House. They have great live music at the Show Bar inside the Opera House and a pretty extensive concert series every season on the main stage.

If you're looking for a more low key way to get outside and adjust to the altitude, we love to stroll along the river trail. If you leave our front door and walk towards the river (easy to find if you open a map on your phone) you'll hit the trail. If you walk east you'll head into the canyon and towards bridal veil falls. If you walk west you'll head out to the valley floor. You can also bike along the trail! We recommend renting bikes from Box Canyon Bicycles.

Town park is where all of the festivals happen but it's also the best on an off weekend. There's tennis courts, basketball courts, and lots of grass to play catch or just lounge and take in the views. We love to get take out and eat it in the park at one of the picnic tables. There's a sneaky waterfall in town park just beyond the campground and it's beautiful and usually empty.
