Tips in restaurants
In Spain tips are usually given only in dinners (if the service was good) and the amount is usually between 1-10 euros depending on the level of restaurant and service.

Useful taxi apps
Download freenow to call a taxi. You can prepay in rush hour and I suggest metered taxi at night or outside of rush hours (cheaper). Another useful app is Cabify with private cars.

Using bicycle
If you rent one (via apps or longer) make sure to use only bicycle lanes or road. Riding on the pavement, against traffic, crossing in red lights could get you a hefty fine.

Book online all your visits to places like segrada familia, park guel, la pedrera and more. You’ll save yourself a long wait

Pickpockets alert
Unfortunately, Barcelona is notoriously know for pickpockets activity. Make sure to be aware especially in busy places and late at night.
Getting around
Subway pass
If you decide to use the subway regularly you can get a monthly pass or the T-10 which gives you 10 rides with a discounted rate. The tickets can be bought at parallel metro (next to the house) using an automatic machine.
