The Stockton sand dunes are the largest moving sand dunes in the southern hemisphere. There are plenty of experiences to explore the dunes, on a quad or even a camel! You can drive onto the beach if you have a 4WD (make sure you have a permit first!)

Hike to the top of Tomaree headland for 360 degree views from the bay! The walk is steep at the beginning with some stairs but only requires a moderate fitness level. It takes about half an hour to reach the top, where you can take in the stunning views before heading back down.

This is a great experience for the kids (and adults!) to interact with the marine life. The experienced guides make this an educational day out, and there are lots of opportunities to get up close with the sharks and rays.

The pest pastries in town! They go quickly though so make sure to head there early. We recommend the sourdough croissants and cinnamon buns - the coffee is great too!
