My absolute winner. 4pokoje serves the best bruch in Brno no doubts here. This place is a bit special because it is open almost 24 hours and you can go there in the evening for a drink. However, I prefer to go there for brunch. Be careful though, it's a bit more expensive

The closest place to my apartment but it is also one of the best. Great food, great service, great vibe. You must not miss this. Good for vegans or vegetarians too.

As the name suggests, this is a business owned by the same bunch as the Bar, which doesn't exist. So if you want to experience the best mixed drinks in Brno on your own palate, you've come to the right place. Besides, they have (of course) a great selection of whiskey and something to eat too. I mean something... the best steak tartare in Brno can be found right here on Gorky Street.

The Container Picnic Box is located between two faculties in the middle of a small but nice park. Besides great coffee, they always have some goodies baked, plus they have beer and something to eat. There are also a lot of events going on during the year.

There are, in my opinion, without exaggeration, about a million cafes in Brno. So if we recommend something, it must be worth it. What I like about this place is its simplicity, elegance and cleanliness. There is also a small selection of food to go with the coffee, but it is essentially vegan.

Brno is big but small at the same time
Although Brno is the second largest city in Czechia you can easily get around on foot. At least downtown and its immediate surroundings
Book before you go
Villa Tugendhat
You might have heard about famous Villa Tugendhat. You might be even considering going there. Good it is great place but I highly recommend bookig this place prior to your arrival. The sooner the better. It's pretty much booked out.
Getting around
Don't be afraid of public transport
Public transport in Brno is really great. You can simply pay for each ride with a credit card directly in the vehicle. You tap on the paying machine when you get on and tap again when you get off.
