If you like natural, member-owned food co-ops/groceries, make sure to stop here! This location is right in downtown and kind of a "scene"...if you want a more low-key experience, there is a newer/larger location on Flynn Avenue.

Our favorite place to eat!! Only 7 minute drive from our place; located in Colchester’s Mallet’s Bay. Best fried potatoes (both hand cut fries and “the hash brown.”). Great burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, brisket, cuban sandwiches, soups, specials, excellent brunch on Sunday…just really good, home made food and friendly service. And reasonable prices. Can’t beat it!

Sightseeing

You can park in the parking lot here and walk toward the lake (west). After walking about a block, you'll hit the bike path (if you turn left, you get to downtown in 20-25 min. If you go right on the bike path and walk 10 or so minutes, you'll come across wood stairs that take you down to the beach. From there you can walk up the shore or just hang out there. If you continue walking on the bike path and don't descend to the beach, you'll eventually come to the place where the Winooski River meets Lake Champlain (~15-20 more minutes). Nice bridge there too.
