Incredible lush walking track, about one hour solid walking circle from SUNDANCE PAD
This reserve was originally purchased by the Wildlife Preservation Society back in 1937. Lots of incredible mature trees and ferns, including an historically significant Angophora red gum (now dead – but still standing) You can’t miss it – its around 2m in width and just on the side of the trail. The main entry is through a carved stone archway at 58 Palmgrove Rd, the track splits at the top and you can connect up with Chisholm Ave and Hilltop Rd - just behind Hudson Pde

A rugged climb to the highest point on Sydney's northern coastline will reward your effort with spectacular views over Pittwater and the Ocean.
Best access point is located next to 97 Marine Parade and it finishes 83 Whale Beach Road, Avalon. (out and back walk)
Also good spot for a picnic and the rocky outcrops overlooking the ocean.

The northern end great on summer afternoons as protected from the typical summer nor-easter afternoon breeze. If there is no surf, also incredible to pop over the edge of the pool in the southern end and explore the rocks, sea grasses and fish life too. There is also a group whom do an ocean swim most weekdays at 7am
