Just a 4 minute drive away is the shopping centre. Almost all takeaways, and small selection of shops. Doctors, Dentists, Surf shop, Woolworths, Post office, 4WD store, camping store and a few cafes and restaurants.

Food scene
We love this little old cafe! It's not fancy, but they do fabulous food, great coffee and a really lovely fresh pressed apple juice. It sits just behind Falcon bay beach, which is lovely. Please see enclosed map for route (about 15 minute walk there). I particularly recommend the Mushroom Bruschetta, it's outstanding. Portions are large.

It sits just behind Falcon bay beach, which is lovely. Please see enclosed map for route (about 15 minute walk there). I particularly recommend the Mushroom Bruschetta, it's outstanding. This lovely little Deli (and Liquor store) is an excellent spot! They make fresh sandwiches for takeaway, have a huge selection of gourmet deli foods and make fresh pre-prepared meals in takeaway containers for a quick-but-delicious meal. Because they are a liquor store, they have long opening hours.

This a nice, fancy restaurant on the water's edge in the harbour in Wannanup, about a 5 minute drive from the Cottage. Put on something nice and enjoy a fancy meal with a view and a glass of wine. They specialize in seafood but provide all food options.

La Belle Patisserie and High Tea House. 10 minute walk from Charlie's Cottage. Absolutely stunning interior and they do an incredible High tea for $42 per person, but you must book in advance. They also do normal tea/coffee and a small selection of treats and breakfast bits, but it can be a bit more pricey.

Pub with a view. Often have sports playing. Food isn't fabulous but the view at sunset is really lovely; it looks directly over 'The Cut' and you can see along the channel in both directions - the sea and into the estuary. Nice for a drink.

Definitely the best fish and chips in the area for a takeaway, nice to pick it up and take it to Falcon bay picnic area with grass and beach to eat. They get extremely busy and you can wait up to an hour for food. I usually order ahead on the phone, or pop in earlier in the day and order for a specific pick up time, which they are prompt with. Beware, the portions are huge.

A new and snazzy brewery on the water's edge. Nice selections of beer and wine, good food. They can stop serving food quite early - so check before you go. It can also get quite noisy inside, so if you're looking for a romantic spot....this isn't it.

Murphy's does an excellent dinner, and they are one of the only good options for a night out. They often have a pretty solid live band and stay open until late. Nice Vegan and Vegetarian options too.

This place does great pizza and Tapas. Lovely atmosphere for dinner but also good for breakfast and lunch. I love that it's BYO! Take a bottle of champagne!

Really nice pizza, very authentic Italian. It's primarily a takeaway, but they have a few metal benches you can sit on to eat. Some times they have a musician or singer there, which is lovely. Quite pricey for a takeaway. They sell bread and coffee in the mornings and big focaccia sandwiches in the day, all of which seems to be very popular.

If you fancy a much longer walk, this lovely cafe is 5.2km from the Cottage (so a 10.4km round trip). Which is a glorious walk, all along the coast with lots of raised boardwalks and wonderful views. Very nice cafe, does a lovely breakfast.

141 Boardwalk BlvdIf you fancy a much longer walk, this lovely cafe is 5.2km from the Cottage (so a 10.4km round trip). Which is a glorious walk, all along the coast with lots of raised boardwalks and wonderful views. Very nice cafe, does a lovely breakfast.
