There's stunning views of the river and Bridge from this nearby park, we go there all the time for walks - either to the headland beside the cemetery or the other direction is a walk past boat sheds and native trees that takes you to the Botanic Gardens.

In the foothills of the mountain this is a great and quite demanding walk if you do the New Town falls walk. Otherwise start at the toilets near Brushy Park Rd and meander along the creek as far as you want to.

You'd have to be living under a rock to not have heard of this if you've been planning a Tassie Holiday. We recommend riding a bike from our house or riding / uber into the ferry terminal at Brooke St Pier and getting the boat there and back. The Kiosk at MONA is great.

This whole area is the place for nightlife, while on Saturday it's all about the markets. The Whaler has a roaring fire year round and is one of the oldest pubs in Hobart, we go to Viet Pho for affordable standard Vietnamese fare
