Nearby beaches that we love
Our nearest beach - Sandy when the tide is out, amazing rock formations in the cliffs, rock pools and toilets. Food and drink here too. Popular with surfers and swimmers.

Sightseeing

This is easy access to Bodmin moor. On a clear day you can see for miles. It’s a manageable walk across the slope, sheep and sometimes cattle graze here. There are some rocks to scramble over at the top but not too challenging, and you can get the views without going right to the top.

Pubs/cafes

Places we like to go and a few we’ve had recommended but not need to ourselves yet!
This is our ‘go-to’ pasty place. The owner makes the pasties herself. The steak is from her own herd of cattle. She also makes a cheese pasty and a vegetable/vegan pasty. She also sells pano is and salads, cream teas and cakes. It can be busy but there’s seating inside and outside - an “all-weather” place.
