There are many access points to Bruce Trail. The trails in the surrounding area are moderate to high difficulty due to the rugged nature of the escarpment along the Grimsby/Hamilton ridge. Be sure to familiarize yourself and take a fully charged phone or GPS when venturing out. Feel free to check out the Bruce Trail website and look at the Niagara region to explore some options.

It’s a bit of a stretch to call this a hike but you will certainly enjoy a peaceful walk, bike ride, or run along this paved and dedicated space to enjoy the shorelines of Lake Ontario for many miles. In fact, you can bike all the way to Burlington if you wish. Check out the Waterfront Trail for more details. Take your pup!!
