BEACH INFO

The Naples Pier is one of the most popular attractions in Naples. Built in 1888, and freshened up over the years, it has become a community landmark loved by all. Stroll out to the end while watching fishermen reel in their catch. Bring your own poles and join in, you do not need a license to fish from the Pier since the City maintains a blanket license there. Walk down the stairs to the beach and enjoy the surf. The Pier has bathrooms, a concession stand, and beach rentals. This is a great place to spend the day if you like to have those conveniences.

PARKS

Baker Park is an 8-minute drive away. I can not say enough about this park! It's incredible! If you are a walker/runner, you will enjoy the miles of manicure paths and boardwalks. Walk around its perimeter and to its peak for beautiful views of the river, bay, and beyond. Kids will love its three playgrounds, two up front near the parking and the other hidden for you to find along the paths. Two size-appropriate dog parks are wonderful! Trust me, this will become a spot you will want to visit a few times per week!

The 140-acre Gordon River Greenway Park provides an ecological corridor in the heart of urban Naples that offers visitors the opportunity to view wildlife and appreciate Southwest Florida’s natural beauty. The 2.5 miles of asphalt, mulch, and boardwalk trails meander through six different native plant communities and are designed for passive recreational activities such as: walking, jogging, biking, roller-blading and skateboarding. The park is leashed-dog friendly and contains: fishing and look-out piers, a kayak/canoe laugh with storage rack, bike racks, restrooms with water fountains, a playground with a tree-house, and picnic pavilions. The Greenway is a special place to take your morning walk or anytime walk. From its entrance near the Zoo to its' link-up with Baker Park, the Greenway's boardwalks and paved trails weave among mangroves and other native plants through the heart of Naples. Witness wildlife sightings and stillness in the middle of Naples. Across Golden Gate Parkway from the Greenway lies Freedom Park, which boasts similar boardwalks and paved trails that all loop through wetlands and retention ponds. There is also a wonderful monument to our great American soldiers.
