The military history museum is located in the old Arsenal building, an old brickstone building, which used to be a former military complex from 1848.
It is a stone-tower sculpture (over 600-years-old, 1375). The purpose of this limestone pillar was to mark the southern border of Vienna and also provide a navigational landmark for faring folk.

It's nice to sit at the huge fountain in spring/summer and watch the people go bye. From 29.6.-22.7. there is a free open air cinema called 'Kino unter Sternen'. Don't miss it.
