Hot take, but in my opinion, Memphis is NOT a BBQ place, it’s a chicken place. Hear me out. We have great BBQ at Memphis in may, but those award winning chefs go back home (not in Memphis). Which if you only came to Memphis in may, I could see why you think we do BBQ well. It’s really not award winning at our restaurants. BUT We do hot chicken better then Nashville and we don’t even brag about it, we just enjoy it. That being said haha this place has great wings! Haha we are really a wing city if I had to identify with something here.
