Hidden Gem in Hendersonville. Sit in the back dining room on the water and feed the ducks, fish and turtles as you wait for your food. One of our favorites.

Great local place for seafood. Back patio looks out at the lake. This place is always busy, and parking is a bit of a nightmare but worth it. So go early.

you may have to pay for parking but if you want a great/expensive meal and the most beautiful walk in all of Nashville you have to go. This massive hotel has 3 amazing park like areas inside (one with a river) as well as a huge new waterpark. They are big into Christmas so if you are here around that time look into all their events.

City advice

Getting around

park in parking garages not open lots

The garages are much cheaper than the lots downtown. Parking all night at a garage is about $20 while parking in a lot for 6 hours is minimum $60.
Ways to save

Most attractions are very close together in Nashville

I have heard many times that the hop on hop off bus tour is not worth it because everything is so close together in Nashville if you are not against walking up and down some hilly streets you can see everything the buss would show you by walking.
Customs and culture

locals don't wear cowboy hats

Hate to break it to you but the cowboy hat is not everyday attire here and most don't wear the boots either. But if you need yourself some boots and a hat, they are for sale just about everywhere. I recommend the Tacovas or Ariat stores located at 5th and broad over any of the 3 for 1 shops on Broadway.
Getting around

wear comfortable closed toe shoes

If you are going to Broadway and most people are trust me and wear comfortable closed toe shoes. Not only is it a ton of walking but the bars on Broadway turn in to music venues at night with people dancing and drinking the night away and unfortunately a lot of times a bottle or 2 gets broken on the floor without anyone knowing until it is kicked or stepped on.
Don't miss

you never know who you will run in to

Huge country music stars, actors, athletes and comedians all live and work in the city. You may see them at the grocery store in line at the local Wendy's or sitting at the bar right next to you. keep your eyes open, I have seen a group of girls taking a group selfie with Cole Swindel sitting right behind them, Chris Young stumble out of a bar at 3 AM, and Hank Williams JR get up on stage at "The Stage on Broadway" and sing a couple songs. Nashville parties hard.
