Our to go place for a nice meal. It's located in Ojochal, close to the highway, but tucked away in the jungles. Food is always great. During high season it's better to make a reservation. We love coconut shrimps, pesto fish and Caribbean fish.

It's a good sushi place, they are very consistent with the quality. It's located on the highway in Uvita town, so often we take it to go if we don't feel like to sit by the road.

Famous Whale's tale beach. I recommend visiting it during low tide so you can walk all the way to the "tale". Mornings are better, so it's not as hot and less chance of rain. Please have a hat, sunscreen, water. You can walk all the way to the "tale" or just enjoy long sandy beach. Please note that swimming can be dangerous when the waves are big and there is a lot of current. It's usually safe to swim at the "tale" during low tide. There is a fee to enter the park.

The best waterfalls in Costa Rica. You will need to book a tour with local companies. They bring you with their truck closer the falls and then it's a short walk to the waterfalls. It's about 30 minutes drive from Casa Markissa.
