Usually the cheapest place in town for a drink and it is the last bar to have sun in the village; it is found close to the bus stop at the bottom of the road. Cash only

The bar is located in Luz close to the church and the Fortaleza da Luz so you can walk to it (1.5 hours each way) but you need to be back before dark as the walk is over the cliff tops. alternatively a 5 EURO Uber ride each way. Food looks great (but we haven’t eaten there). Beer from Portuguese breweries both on tap and bottled, you need to try the Chilli Chocolate stout called Chilhuahua. Also, lots of cocktails. Some nights there is live music but need to check first

A great place to get craft beer. They have local beer on tap and a large menu of cans and bottles in their fridges from around Europe. A definite must for anyone who wants a change from the standard Sagres and Super Bock beer.

Favourite pizza restaurant. Great pizza and home made ice cream run by an Italian. Red wine by the litre at very good prices but it can catch you next morning if you get carried away! You can also get the pizza as a take away if you prefer.

Child friendly funky restaurant half way down the first street on the way to the beach. André and Fanchea serve great food including pizzas, burgers and salads. Check on the door for opening times.

Varied menu, we particularly like the salads which are very creative. Occasionally live music in the evenings, drinks very good price and you don’t have to eat, you can just have a drink

A great bar / restaurant about 100m from my villa. Very friendly staff. The club has a small menu but something for everyone and it is all very tasty.
There are often events in the club, a particular favourite of mine is pub quiz night on a Monday run by Fred. There is often live music which is always great. Watch the blackboard outside the club as you walk to the beach to find out what is on. During the summer season I recommend booking as it is popular.

Great marina and the place to go if you want to take a boat trip for fishing, sight seeing or Dolphin watching. Big choice of companies.
You can also sit in a cafe or bar in the marina and enjoy looking at the boats. There is free parking behind the marina complex, not easy to find but very handy to save parking in the main town.
