(EN) The historic center of Modica is an UNESCO heritage site, like other cities in the Noto Valley, for its typical Baroque architecture. An observation point in the western part of the historical center allows you to have an exquisite panoramic view of the eastern part where are located the Cathedral of San Giorgio and Castello dei Conti, which together with the stone houses perched one near the other seems like the landscape of a typical "presepe" (nativity). The city is also famous for the particular chocolate production, which derives from an ancient Mayan recipe, brought by the Spaniards during their dominance on the Kingdom of Sicily. (IT) Il centro storico di Modica è patrimonio dell'UNESCO, come le altre città della Val di Noto, per la tipica architettura barocca. Un punto di osservazione nella parte occidentale del centro storico permette di avere una squisita visione panoramica della parte orientale dove sono situati il Duomo di San Giorgio e il Castello dei Conti, e che assieme alle case in pietra tutte arroccate una vicino l'altra ricordano il paesaggio di un tipico presepe. La città è anche famosa per la particolare produzione di cioccolata proveniente da un'antica ricetta Maya, portata dagli Spagnoli durante il loro dominio sull'isola e il suo regno.

(EN) The historic center of Modica is an UNESCO heritage site, like other cities in the Noto Valley, for its typical Baroque architecture. (EN) Marzamemi is an old fishermen town, where once it was in operation one of the most important "Tonnara" (place where they cooked and canned the tuna) in the area. Today it has become the center of the nightlife for the whole district area, with its good restaurants in the central square, and the bars directly overlooking the harbour, which in August become open-air discos. (IT) Marzamemi è un'antica cittadina di pescatori dove una volta era in funzione una delle più importanti tonnare della zona. Oggi è diventata il centro della vita notturna per tutto il circondario, con i suoi buonissimi ristoranti nella piazza centrale, e i bar direttamente affacciati sul porto che ad agosto si trasformano a discoteche a cielo aperto.

Its beaches, especially the ones of Cittadella, Calamosche and della Tonnara, are among the most beautiful in Sicily. (IT) La Riserva di Vendicari è perfetta per fare "Birdwatching", infatti molti uccelli migratori usano i pantani come luogo di transito durante le loro migrazioni, tra cui i fenicotteri. In the midst of his deep canyons you can explore various small cold-water lakes, a unique landscape of its kind, worthy of mythological stories of ancient Greece. In mezzo ai suoi profondi canyon si possono esplorare vari laghetti d'acqua fredda, un paesaggio unico nel suo genere, degno di storie mitologiche dell'antica Grecia.

Famous for the presence of many necropolis dating back to the Bronze Age, is now protected by the UNESCO. Two rivers, the Anapo and Ciane, flow through the reserve till the city of Syracuse. Also here it is possible to bath into their cold waters. (IT) La Riserva di Pantalica è perfetta per fare lunghe escursioni in appositi sentieri in mezzo alla natura, e vi è anche la possibilità di noleggiare mountain bike. Famosa per la presenza di numerose necropoli risalenti all'età del bronzo, è oggi patrimonio dell'UNESCO. Nella riserva scorrono due fiumi l'Anapo e il Ciane che sfociano a Siracusa. Anche qui è possibile trovare refrigerio nelle loro fredde acque che formano piccoli laghetti.

In Syracuse you can also visit a large archaeological park, home to the famous Greek Theatre and Ear of Dionysius. (IT) L'isola di Ortigia a Siracusa è un luogo unico nel suo genere . Il tiranno Dioniso, ai tempi della Magna Grecia, ci costruì la sua roccaforte, e nei secoli Ortigia è diventata uno dei centri storici più belli al mondo, con il particolarissimo Duomo, costruito incorporando il vecchio tempio di Atena. A Siracusa è possibile anche visitare un grande parco archeologico, dove si trovano il famoso Teatro Greco e l'orecchio di Dioniso.
