There are lovely walks through the woods nearby by and along the avenue from Stansted to Rowlands Castle.
Stansted House itself is open afternoons from Easter till September. The garden centre and tea rooms are open all year round. There is a maze and miniature railway for the children but do check before you go as we have sometimes found they are shut! They do a fabulous Halloween event usually on the weekend nearest the 31st October.

Getting Around
Emsworth Station is about 5 minutes away and good for visiting Chichester. If you want to visit London, we would recommend you depart from Havant station instead as it's a faster line.

Entertainment & Activities
Just the best place to entertain small children and has rides suitable for up to 10/11 year olds on the other side of the park.. The little ones love Peppa Pig World (which has 2 new rides for 2018) A great day out - in summer take your swimming costume as they have splash parks too.

Sightseeing
A great day out. The Dockyard incorporates Nelson's Flagship, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, Action Stations (climbing walls and laser quest), a boatride around the harbour, various museums and The Mary Rose (the last now needs a separate entrance ticket so do check the website) I would recommend booking in advance if at all possible as prices are usually cheaper online.
