Parks & Nature

This is an old rice plantation once owned by Joseph and Theodosia Alston (Aaron Burr's daughter who was lost at sea). The plantation was eventually sold and turned into an artist community. You can wonder the grounds and see magnificent statues and fountains. The gardens themselves are a work of art. In the evening you can enjoy a live jazz band on the lawn. It can take several days to see everything. They even have a little zoo. Tons of history.
