Famous for hosting the Common People and Let's Rock music festivals among other things. There is a 5k park run every Saturday at 9am there.

There is a lot more in Guildhall Square than just a theatre/arts, there's the Sea City Museum, Nuffield theatre, restaurants, coffee shops and the Mayflower theatre is close by on Commercial road. The art gallery in the main library North side of the Guildhall is well worth a visit showing off many famous pieces of artwork. It is also worth walking through East park just behind Guildhall square where there is a mini golf course and 2 outdoor tennis courts. All within 10 minutes walk.
